Intelligence in Synergy

SYNTERA Research Group: Applied AI & Connected Systems.

Our story

SYNTERA stands for Synergy + Intelligence + Era: a new era in which artificial intelligence works in synergy with health, agriculture, education, homes and mobility.

The group was founded by Dr. Shahrzad Saremi, Professor Dr. Rania Shibl and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dana Dermody, and brings together researchers, academics and students from 9 countries to build AI and connected systems (IoT and IoV) for real-world problems.

We collaborate with universities, research institutes, health and care providers, industry and government. See how to partner with us on joint research, funded projects and commissioned work.

SYNTERA Research Group is not affiliated with any commercial company of a similar name.

Mission

To design and apply AI and connected technologies (IoT, IoV) that solve real problems in health, agriculture, education and everyday living.

Vision

A future where intelligent, connected systems make life healthier, food more sustainable, learning more personal and mobility safer.
